Diagnosis: Physconia chinensis similis Physconiae enteroxanthae et Physconiae hokkaidensi ab illa cortice supero scleroplectenchymatico et lobulis ab hac medullis flavis differt.

Type: CHINA. Jilin, Jiaohe County, alt. 1000 m, on bark, Sep 2, 1991, J. B. Chen & Y. M. Jiang 1448 (holotype in HMAS-L)

Distribution: P. chinensis is known only from China at present (2003)
