• Typus: L. Smook 1310 (in flower, 30 August 1978; Holotypus: PRE [​PRE0534605-0^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}]; Cibachrome: K).
• Type locality: South Africa. KwaZulu-Natal: on road from Sordwana Bay to Ubombo.
