  - Type locality: Africa Australis [= SOUTH AFRICA]. Northern Transvaal [= Limpopo]: Shilouvané[Shiluvane].

Hahn (2022) places both of the above-mentioned synonyms under P. trichardtensis var. trichardtensis.
