• Typus: J. Gossweiler 7756 (in flower, [29] January [1919]; Holotypus: BM [cf. BM000903469^(JSTOR), 'type']; ⧼Isotypi⧽: COI [cf. COI00067724^(JSTOR), 'lectotypus ex numero'], K [​K000728894^(JSTOR)], LISC [​LISC002567^(JSTOR)], LISU {cf. LISU58382 & LISU58383}).
• Type locality: Portuguese Congo [= ANGOLA, Cabinda]. In shady humid situations on the banks of the R. N'Zanza, Potigan forests, Mayumbe.
