- Typus: W.J. Eggeling 6038 (February 1951; holotypus: U [cf. 0006134(JSTOR), 'type']; isotypi: EA {EA000001674, EA000001675}).
- Note: this type-distribution is fide Bridson & Verdcourt (1988); in the protologue, location of holotype was EA.
- Type locality: Tanganyika Territory[Tanzania]. Southern Province, Lindi District: Rondo Plateau, scarp face below Mchinjiri, in closed forest.
