• Typus: S. Bidgood, F. Mbago & K.B. Vollesen 2673 (in flower, 7 March 1994; holotypus: K {K000286885, K000286886^(JSTOR)}; isotypi: BR [​BR0000008849281^(JSTOR)], DSM, K, NHT).
• Type locality: Tanzania. Mapanda Distr.: 8 km on Mpanda – Uvinza road, (6°19'S, 31°01'E), 1200 m.
