Note: accepted by Govaerts (2024) and Somner & Medeiros (2024); Croat (1977), Brako & Zarucchi (1993) and Hassler (2024) place this name under Paullinia faginea (Triana & Planch.) Radlk. [basion.: Enourea faginea Triana & Planch. (1862)] while Hassler also cites E. capreolata Aubl. (1775) [≡ Paullinia capreolata (Aubl.) Radlk.] as its synonym.
