- Note: according to Haviland (1897: 33) and Merrill (1915: 533), the pre-Linnaean name 'Katou Tsjaca' mentioned by Rheede in Hortus Malabaricus 3: 29, t. 33 (1682) and cited by Linnaeus (1753) stands for Ochreinauclea missionis, but there exist other candidates and Rheede's t. 33 has been designated as lectotype for one of them, i.e. Neolamarckia cadamba (Roxb.) Bosser, Bull. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat., B, Adansonia Sér. 4, 6(3): 247 (1984 publ. 1985); see also Ridsdale (1976: 184–185).
