  • Lectotype: (designated by Rosas 1989, Gayana Bot. 46: 33): 1854-02, R.A. Philippi #s.n. SGO-000001592; Isolectotype: SI-001267 (fragment).

If Atriplex retusa is considered a synonym (syn. nov. by Brignone et al. 2016), then it is the oldest species name for this taxon.
