Synonyms
edit- Basionym
- Hermione obsoleta Haw., Suppl. Pl. Succ.: 146 (1819).
- Lectotypus (designated by Fernández Casas & Pizarro Dominguez, Adumbr. Summae Edit. 24: 3. 2007 and by Díaz Lifante & Andrés Camacho, Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 154(2): 253. 2007): “in Hispania”, [icon]: J. Parkinson (1629: Paradisi in sole paradisus terrestris 90, tabula 89, figura 4, ut N. albus Autumnalis medio obsoletus). Interpreted by Fernández Casas & Pizarro Dominguez 2007 and Koopowitz et al., 2017 in the sense of Narcissus elegans, by Díaz Lifante & Andrés Camacho 2007 in the sense of Narcissus miniatus.
- Epitypus (designated by Aedo, Acta Bot. Malacitana 35: 135. 2010 in the sense of Narcissus miniatus): Spain. Sevilla, pr. Morón de la Frontera, 37°08'20"N, 05°34'34"W, 23 Oct. 2008, Aedo 15983 (MA-777831; isoepitypes: BM, C, COI, LE, P, G, SEV, US, W). Despite the epitype (overlooked by Koopowitz et al., 2017) and the ambiguity of Narcissus obsoletus, Koopowitz et al., 2017 and WCSP is followed here. Otherwise Narcissus obsoletus would have priority over Narcissus miniatus and the widely used Narcissus elegans would be the valid name here.
