Lyman Bradford Smith
Lyman Bradford Smith (1904–1997), U.S. botanist.
Studied at Harvard University, earning B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. Staff member of Gray Herbarium for 17 years, 5 as Curator. Botanist at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institute, 28 yrs. Studied tropical plant families of Central and South America, making significant contributions to the literature of Bromeliaceae and Begoniaceae.
