• Note: synonymized with L. alveolata C.K.Allen by Kostermans (1969), but accepted by de Kok (2020).
• Type: L.J. Brass & C. Versteegh 11162 (with male flowers, 25 November 1938; Holotype: A; Isotypes: BM [​BM000799069^(GBIF)], BRI-AQ0340639^(JSTOR), L 0037110^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}).
• Type locality: [Indonesia.] Netherlands New Guinea: Bele River, 18 km. ne. of Lake Habbema, 2200 m. camp, alt. ± 2400 m., secondary forest, on the slope of a ridge.
