Life habit: Lichenicolous fungus (parasite on living lichens)
Type: Mexico. Baja California: San Quintin, el Pedregal, 5 km W de San Quintin, litoral del Pacifico, y a 1 km de Cerro Kenton, 30o27'30"N, 116o00'00"W, 0-50m; roca volcánica litoral, 24 ii 1993, p. Navarro-Rosinés (holotype in BCC-Lich.] 13471).
Host: Lichenicolous on the thallus of Caloplaca bolacina having a more markedly adverse effect on the host than other species of the genus.
