Rhexinema paucicellulare (Vischer) Geitler, 1943: 471

• Type locality: Switzerland: bei Basel.
• Lectotype (designated by Darienko & Pröschold 2017): Fig. 4 in Vischer (1933).
• Epitype (designated by Darienko & Pröschold 2017 in support of the lectotype): The strain SAG 463-1, permanently cryopreserved in a metabolically inactive state (cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen) in the SAG, University of Göttingen, Germany.
