Basionym
  • Stephanophorus digitatus A. Massal., Misc. Lich.: 45. 1856. TYPE: Ecuador Prov. Pastaza, Mera. Rio Pastaza valley, mountain rainforest, 1000 m alt., epiphytic [on moss], 1972, L. Arvidsson & D. Nilson s/n (neotype: GB!; isoneotype: UPS, fide Jørgensen (1973). [Note that a duplicate was never deposited in UPS, according to the curator, Anders Nordin].
