• Type locality: Cattle Point, San Juan Island, Washington, USA. on Polysiphonia spp.
• Holotype: CSU-CF-1: male, female and tetrasporic plants embedded in EPON-812, sectioned, stained, permanent slides. Isotypes: UC.
