Kumanoa bhupalii Elaya Perumal U. & Sundararaj, R., 2023

• Holotype: AARI/FWRA/UEP/CRG04 (Type specimen submitted at AARI herbarium).
• Type locality: Forest stream near Bandikadu village of Kodagu district Karnataka state, India.
• Eponymy: In honour of Prof. Bhupal Baburao Chaugule - a pioneer researcher in Indian Freshwater Red Algae.
