- Type locality: Nigeria. Southern Nigeria: Aboh Forest.

editKhaya ivorensis var. quadrifida, nom. nud. is based on the specimen A. Chevalier 16237 (CÔTE D'IVOIRE. Alépé, from 26–28 February to 1–3 March, 1907; P-P00453288), which had been cited as Khaya klainei in Pellegrin (1911: 77).
