- Type locality: Outside the harbor of Bahía Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico.
- Holotype: leg. Dawson; 1940-01-23; On bottom of broken shell and mud at depth of 12-20 m.; HAHF; Dawson 85-40 on sheet 34.
