• Typus: M. Zjhra & J. Hutcheon 173 (February 1992, in flower; Holotypus: MO [​524836^(GBIF)]; ⧼Isotypi⧽: K, P, TAN).
• Type locality: Madagascar. Toamasina, Masoala Peninsula, forest surrounding research station at Andranobe on western coast, transect 2, station 1.
