• Note: attribution of this name to Kanehira by Fosberg & Sachet as "Ixora casei var. lanceolata Kaneh., Fl. Micr. 361. 1933" is an error and thus this should be regarded as a new combination made by them. Citation error can be tolerated per ICN (ed. 2018, Art. 41.6).
• Typus: R. Kanehira 1092 (holotypus: FU; isotypi: NY00132002^(JSTOR) [collected in July–August 1930], P [cf. P01051437, collected in August 1930, without type indication]; cf. K000763381^(JSTOR) [without any type indication]).
• Type locality: [Federated States of Micronesia.] Yap.
