• Typus: United States, Virginia, Dinwiddie County, intermittent streams and pools in swampy forest above Stony Creek at SR 666, 37°00'N; 77°30'W, 23 June 1993, L. J. Musselman & D. A. Knepper, s.n. (Holotypus: ODU).
