- Type locality: St Paul's Rocks [mid-Atlantic 870 km (540 miles) off the coast of Brazil, just north of the Equator (0°55'N, 29°22'W)]. Syntype: H.N. Moseley (Challenger Expedition); 27 August 1873; BM 000530646.
