Note: Unresolved homonyms, but H. aspera E.Fourn. (1866) seems to be an error in citation and H. aspera Kuntze (1891) is not described. Synonymy of H. aspera Kuntze (1891) with Hesperis bicuspidata (Duran & Cetin, 2016) not accepted by Koch et al. (2019), nor Govaerts et al. (2019) who prefer a synonymy with Matthiola longipetala (Vent.) DC. Taxon page should remain until the taxonomic opinions are resolved.
