Halosia elisae M.Cormaci & G.Furnari, 1994

  • Type locality: Vulcano Island (Aeolian Islands, Italy).
  • Holotype: (monoecious gametophyte) B. Scammacca; 24.4.1991; 22m. CAT 1098.
  • Named for Elisa (or Elissa), the Latin name of the Queen of Carthage, otherwise known as Dido.
