Gymnacranthera (A. DC.) Warb. Ber. Deutsch. Bot. Ges. 13: 90, 91, 94. (1896)

• Typus: Originally designated as Gymnacranthera paniculata Warb. (1896), however, this species has been placed in synonymy with Gymnacranthera farquhariana var. paniculata (A.DC.) R.T.A.Schouten (1984) (Schouten, 1984).
