  • Type locality: Penco, southeastern corner of Bahía Concepción, VIIIth Region, Chile.
  • Holotype (female): Hector Romo; 1 September 1982; Intertidal. NRCC 9131 (a). Isotypes: NRCC, 9131b (male), 9131c (tetrasporangial).
