Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Notes: On soil under Podocarpus totara in native New Zealand forest. Pileus: 20-50mm in diameter. Hemispheric to convex. Brown in colour. Stipe: 60-70mm long by 10-15mm in diameter. Even to slightly enlarged towards the base. Brown in colour. Pores: Hexagonal in shape, 0.5-1mm in diameter. Pore surface yellow in colour, bruising deep blue where damaged then slowly changing to brown. Spore deposit: light brown.
