Summary
DescriptionSalt desert between Delta and Grand Junction, Colorado (17543983854).jpg
This area of Amaranthaceae (Chenopodiaceae) dominated species, including Atriplex corrugata, A. confertifolia, A. canescens, and Sarcobatus vermiculatus, as well as Halogeton glomeratus and Kochia scoparia, is very species diverse including native perennials and annuals. This is in spite of being co-dominated by Bromus tectorum. Cheatgrass dominance was not commonly observed to the south and east of this area, but it was to the north especially towards the area around Rifle, Colorado.
