Rubiaceae (coffee family) Native to Africa - Kenya and Tanzania south to Mozambique Flowers strongly and sweetly scented, usually solitary, flower in spring. Fruit 3-5 cm, hard, spherical, blackish when ripe. (you can see it in the photo.) Zimbabwe-flora --

Location: Mt. Coot-tha Brisbane Botanic gardens. There are a few of these trees in the garden.
