Native, warm season, annual or short-lived perennial, hemispherical herb to 20 cm tall.
Leaves are semiterete, succulent and 4–6 mm long. Fruiting perianth are 5–6 mm long. Wings are unequal, obovate, the longer 2–4 mm long and the smaller minute to 2 mm long. Widespread, often in saline or scald areas. This was growing in the Macquarie Marshes northwest of Dubbo.
