Summary

Description
English: Fig. 4 Tree cricket baffling behavior. Tree crickets (Oecanthus henryi) make baffles by cutting a hole to amplify the call to attract mates, and the hole is usually in the center of large leaves (Mhatre et al., 2017). The picture is drawn according to Mhatre, N., Malkin, R., Deb, R., Balakrishnan, R. and Robert, D. (2017) Tree crickets optimize the acoustics of baffles to exaggerate their mate-attraction signal. eLife, 6, e32763.
