Summary

Description

Ribes nemorosum Phil. 20081220 Parque Puyehue, Chile understory of montane forest

The key to Ribes in the 1896 flora doesn't strike me as very trustworthy. It seems they use the word "peduncle" to mean "pedicel", and the description of this species (R. nemorosum) is incomplete (the author never saw a flower, for example!). He claims it is present around Concepcion.

It turns out there are quite a few species of Ribes in southern Chile.
