English: A flowering Yellow Licorice (Glycyrrhiza flavescens) in a shrubland by the side of a field in Ceyhan - Adana, Turkey.
This plant is a perennial herb. It is 30-85 cm tall. Its leaflets 5-8-paired and 25-40 x 10-15 mm, elliptic. Inflorescence 8-20 cm, many-flowered. Its calyx teeth c. 3 mm and corolla 12-18 mm, golden-yellow. Legume c. 4 x 1 cm, compressed, glabrous, dark brown, valves contorting on dehiscence, several-seeded. Its habitats are cornfields, macchie and Arbutus-Styrax woodland upto 500 m of altitude. Denizden 500 m yüksekliğe kadar mısır tarlaları, makilikler ve sandal çalılıklarında yayılış göstermektedir. Çok yıllık bir bitkidir. 30-85 cm boyundadır. Yaprakları 5-8 çift, 25-40 x 10-15 mm boyutlarında eliptik şekillidir. Çiçekleri sarı ve altın sarısı renktedir. |
