Native, warm-season, perennial, sprawling to ascending legume. Stems are to 40 cm long, hairless or with appressed hairs. Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets rhombic and truncate at apex, nearly hairless, a few hairs on veins on lower surface, terminal leaflets 0.5–2 cm long, stipules 2–4 mm long. Flowerheads are racemes to 16 cm long. Flowers are 1–1.2 mm long, and pink or lavender. Pods are up to 30 mm long; with a dense indumentum of spreading hooked hairs and up to 6 articles (segments). Flowers from summer to autumn. Commonly found in sclerophyll forest, usually in shady conditions.
