Summary
DescriptionAstilbe rivularis.jpg
Extremely difficult to get an even half decent picture of this magnificent species. Here it is growing in soggy soil with Eupatorium maculatum Atropurpureum and Angelica archangelica - all well above head-height. Check out the tiny wee Hemarocallis fulva there at the bottom for scale (actually about 3ft high).
