• Typus: L.C. Leach & I.C. Cannell 13907 (in flower and fruit, 18 August 1967; Holotypus: LISC [​LISC011519^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}]; ⧼Isotypi⧽: BM [​BM013717966^(GBIF)], LUAI, PRE, SRGH [SRGH0106557-0^(JSTOR)]).
• Type locality: Angola. Benguela Distr.: ± 5km W of Caimbambo, on rocks in open and in shade, in Adansonia bush.
