• Note: not accepted by Chippendale (1988) [cited as Eucalyptus aromaphloia L.D.Pryor & J.H.Willis], but accepted by Rule (2012) and Slee et al. (2020).
• Typus: L.A.S. Johnson s.n. (9 April 1955, with buds, flowers and fruit; Holotypus: NSW [​NSW54076^(JSTOR)]; ⧼Isotypi⧽: K {K000347770^(JSTOR), K000347771^(JSTOR)}, US [​US00118328 (2411110)^(JSTOR)]; 'Asserted Duplicates': NSW {NSW54077 [collected on 31 August 1951], NSW54078 [collected on 31 August 1951], NSW315838 [collected on 7 March 1954]}).
• Type locality: [Australia.] N.S.W.[New South Wales]: about 3 miles [c. 5 km] E of Currant Mountain Gap, about 8 miles (c. 13 km) E of Olinda, 2,500 feet.
