- Type locality: Møllegrund, off Hirshals, Skagerrak, Denmark. Syntype: L.K. Rosenvinge; 8 August 1899; On Polysiphonia stricta. C . Notes: Womersley (1994: 26) notes that the type material was found on Polysiphonia urceolata, 11-15 m deep.
