Type locality: U.S.A. OREGON: Tillamook County, northern edge of the town of Barview, on the shore of Barview Slough, 45o34'30"N, 123o56'45"W; growing on evergreen leaves of Vaccinium ovatum in the marginal shrub vegetation between Picea sitchensis woodland and the open water slough, 6 Apr 2006, Björk 12728 (UBC, holotype; HB. BJÖRK, HB. SPARRIUS, isotypes).
Distribution and ecology: Known from the Pacific Northwest (Oregon) and British Columbia, growing foliicolous on Vaccinium leaves and conifer needles.
Etymology: Named after the American state of Oregon.
