Type: ITALY. Sardinia, Sassari, Badesi Mare, on littoral sand dunes, 10 m, on Tamarix, 1986, J. Poelt & P.L. Nimis (TSB-holotype!).

Ecology and distribution Endohyalina kalbii is a maritime species with a Mediterranean–South Atlantic distribution, including Macaronesia.
