- Type locality: 00º22'34"S, 160º00'50"W; Jarvis Island, Line Islands, Central Pacific Ocean (Site #07).
- Holotype (nonreproductive specimen): R.D.Withall; 3 May 2012; -13.5-15 m on a vertical reef face . UNB JAR-1201 (COI-5P barcode KF026473 (fig. 73 in Kraft & Saunders 2014). Isotypes: Eight specimen fragments on the holotype sheet (fig. 74).
