A white flowered plant has been named Disocactus ackermannii f. candida (Alexander) Barthlott (1991) Bradleya 9:87 (Epiphyllum ackermannii f. candidum Alexander (1947) Cact. Succ. Journ. U. S. 19:58). All plants in cultivation under this name is Epiphyllum crenatum.
