Dictyosphaerium libertatis C.Bock, Pröschold & Krienitz, 2011

• Type locality: Uhuru-park, Nairobi, Kenya (1º17,369' S, 36º48.995' E).
• Holotype: artificial pond. Culture Collection of Algae and Protozoa, Oban, Scotland cryopreserved material of strain CCAP 222/92. Isotype: B40 0040720 (air-dried and formaldehyde-fixed sample of strain CCAP 222/92) deposited at the Botanical Museum at Berlin-Dahlem.
