• Type locality: Mexico: Sinaloa: 0.5 km N of El Paraíso on road between Villa Unión and El Salto, ca. 2062 m.
• Typus: leg. G.B. Ownbey & Findley Ownbey 1922; 1953-09-28; Holotype: MICH; Isotypes: DS, GH, MO.
