Cupaniopsis vitiensis Radlk., Repert. Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 20: 34 (1924)

• Typus: J. Horne 982 (in fruit, August 1878, handed by a native boy without leaves nor flowers; Holotypus: K [​K000701627^(JSTOR)]; Isotypus: M-0225270^(JSTOR)).
• Type locality: In insulis Vitiensibus [= FIJI]. "Kow Luli, on the Wai ni Mala".
