- Kallymenia angustata Setchell & N.L.Gardner, 1937 (as "Callymenia")
  - Type locality: Bahía de Santa María, Isla Magdalena, Baja California, Mexico.
  - Holotype: J.T. Howell; 1932-08-12; California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco, California 739 on sheet 236489 (single cystocarpic plant).
Heterotypic
- Kallymenia tenuifolia W.R.Taylor, 1945, nom. illeg. (later homonym of Kallymenia tenuifolia Feldmann, 1935)
  - Type locality: Isla Soccoro, Islas Revilla Gigedo, Mexico. frequent as dredged from 41-84 metres’ depth as sta. 924 near I. Soccoro.
  - Intended type: W.R. Taylor #39-67; #1939-03-18; Hancock Foundation. (cystocarpic).
