    • Typus: Turkey, cultivated Kew, 'under the name of Crocus sp. Mardin, corms ... were last autumn [I 890] sent to the Royal Gardens, Kew through the kindness of Herr Max Leichtlin, Baden-Baden' (Holotypus: K).
