  • Lectotype: In the Torner Collection no. 1976, with hand-written name ?[by Sessé], "Cordia gerascanthus" (the epithet crossed out and "sebestena" added), and annotated by de Candolle "Cordia dodecandra"; (DC Plate 874, G [photo: F-30785(GBIF)] is a copy of the lectotype); designated by McVaugh, Bot. Results Sessé & Mociño Exped. (1787–1803) 7: 91 (2000)
