• Type: A. Wall s.n. (male, November 1920; syntypes: AK-AK8880, WELT SP013710(/A, /B), as 'type' in Oliver 1935: 83, 204).
• Type locality: New Zealand. South Island: upper Poulter River, scrub, altitude 1800–2000 feet.
